Thoughts and Details on the project
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was nice working in a group that all had some ideas , and all worked pretty fast on the idea. More or less it was nice to work in a group to see how to work in one, and being able to get an idea we all like while spitting out ideas while making it. While working with two colors was difficult degassing wise, as you had to predict of where it would al work together, while leaving space out on the design so the ink doesn't blend together. It was nice that as well non of the screens blew out on us or the blue emloshih dint go weird, but it was nice being able to print the two colors as well work in a bigger group overall.

The main purpose of this project was how can we do a two color print, separating the image into two layers which would have a septic swatch to them. While adding another person to the bunch which help greatly within the process, this was with working with two screens and making sure they work correctly and line up.

making the image
------------------------------------
The process went back in fourth on what image should be done, more or less what should be done for the image at all. So looking around on our own and bring ideas to the table was the next step for us, which soon it was deiced on sailor moon so we looked for a good image that could be done.
Next was tracing the said image and decidnging what colors would work good together, and if we should keep the stars as the could cause issues when we burn or even go to print on t-shirts. This also Brought in the step of if we should leave space between
screen burning---------------------------------------------------------
After printing the two transparency and had been tapped, the next step was to go to the dark room and burn the designs onto two separate screens.
Which when they were blown out it was surprise that the stars and very little details came out (Could even see the tiny earring!), which was originally thought they all would all not come out right. |

Setting upAfter fixing the screen into the metal clamp, next was getting the shirt to line it up with one of the transparency's. Since we only need one due to having registration marks that line up on both transparency sheets and screens when lined up right, then we go the black and yellow ink out, rags, paint knifes, squeegees . As well making sure that everything was wiped down again, because ink from the previous prints in the class may be on the tools still which would affect the printing process.

printing
----------------------------
I was dirty hands in this process which was fun, so I did the yellow and had to make sure the ink was good and I wasn't getting ink anywhere but my gloves. Though we did discover a problem with the yellow we were using, which that some kind of green was mixed with it so each time we had to get more it had to be mixed on the screen so it wouldn't leave a green streak on the actual final product (Which worked out well). The process went over smoothly and there were no difficulties when the printing was happening, though a mishap with some yellow that didn't want work on a shirt but wasn't anything major just more worn then others.

final product-------------------------------------
The final product came out amazing non of the ink blended together and it all worked well on the black t-shirt, which even the sparkles came out well too which was surprise to us all as the ink went through nicely when it printed.
Overall the whole project was good, the team was good an the design came out wonderfully. |
