What is CAD 1?
Cad is short for Computer Aid and drafting
was about learning how to do mechanical drawings for drafting, learning the basics and learning how plot points on to the the said drawing. As well learning how to do things more digital as well. Such as learning how to work AutoCAD which is a 3D modeling program to give us a more preceptive on how things may work. As well with Onshape which would be a 3D modeling program.

My thoughts on the class
What I did like about this class was really learning the new programs and actually being taught how to use them, instead of being told to watch some videos and learn it from there. I'm a 1 on 1 learner so a video just wont help unless I'm there to see it work, so it was nice to ask questions on what was going on. It was nice to learn the different programs and I personally liked using Onshape, but learning AutoCad before hand does help a lot with Onshape because both are similar besides ones a 2D program and one is a 3D program.
I don't have many dislikes about the course besides from doing the mechanical drawings, because they made me extremely frustrated but that was no ones fault mainly just not my cup of tea. Those drawings were easy to learn but due to me having Covid I got derailed in ways. As I said though I have no really big faults with this course.
Some takeaways I had from this course, was learning the multiple programs and that each I had easy time learning. I learned how to do different variety's of drafting and that does help a lot if I would ever try and pressure this as a job, as well I learned from myself that I can learn many programs if taught what I need instead of being told to just go off something else in ways.

Work for This Class
Mechanical Drawings |
Mechanical Drawing is the drafting of, layout for an object/building/etc. It is a traditional drawing, and may include multiple views and more. It helps communicate the idea of how the object may look, from the inside and outside. This type of drawing style is important and essential in the industry of engineering and drafting.
Here below is some of my work that I did with Mechanical drawing, and the two different versions I did. Which below is single view and, single view with dimensions.

AutoCAD, is a computer aided design program and drafting software. It is a digital software , so It is for drawing and modeling 2D and 3D. It is used to communicate ideas to others for how something may look, through multiple views and as well for how it may look 3D as well. This program is used by architects, project managers, engineers, graphic designers, city planners and other professionals.
This is some of my work on the software down below, I did single view, as well with dimensions and as well one with Orthographic projection.

OnShape Work |
Onshape is a computer aid and drafting site that as well helps teams to collaborate on a single shared design. That is mainly used for 3D modeling and as well as for product or machinery, as well for medical designs ,machine parts, and for creating just any objects. This program is used for 3D printing as well. This program is free and can be used by anyone that may want to start working with engineering as well.
Here is some of the work I did on this website , as well as the files to go see the work I had done. To see and open the files click on the images, which will give you the files that I did.

Revit Garage Model |
Revit is a 4D building software, and is a BIM (Building Information Modeling). It is an Autodesk program , and is used for : scape architects, structural engineers, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, designers and contractors. It in all sense is mainly used for the concept for the construction and either later maintenance and/or demolition.

3D Print |
Down below is the 3D print I did for this class, I got the file from STLFinder website. It is a slime and I used Onshape to transfer the file over.

Architecture Slide Show |
|
For this class I was well did a project on a architect which was Daniel Libeskind, It has his family life, education, impacts, influences on him. As well a slide on his buildings he had created and helped with. It shows in ways how much a impact buildings have on someone, and how much they can affect their environment. As well showing that everyone just doesn't know what they want to do, as Daniel Libeskind had some music before hand, soon then later in life discovering he wanted to be a architect.
Down below is the presentation I did on Daniel Libeskind and the link for the google slide show.

Conclusion Thoughts On Class |
I have a lot of takeaways from this class, as for learning all these programs and if I need too I could pressure this as future career. As well I gained a lot from the programs , for how to use them and what I'm able to do on these programs. As for OnShape and Autodesk it seems a good bit. For as well maybe taking CAD 2 but I do plan on taking a animation and graphics class, but It is a huge possib8ilty for me to take CAD 2 because I heavily enjoyed this class.

I was glad to learn these new ability's and programs because I know I need to learn more stuff, because I know if art doesn't go well I need to have a back up choice. Which I suppose would have to engineering and drafting. So this was a take away because I didn't think I wanted to even do something like this. So this class gave me more of a opportunity.
